Senior Manager – Actuarial

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager – Actuarial to lead actuarial analysis, provide data‑driven insights and support key business decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee valuation activities including monthly insurance liability results, capital adequacy calculations, statutory reporting, budget projections and bond valuation.
• Validate and improve valuation models, maintain model logs and prioritize model issues.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, support product development, profitability analysis and large or bulk quotations.
• Coordinate testing of illustration and administration system updates for new and amended products.
• Advise senior management on liability movements, capital adequacy, dividend policy and financial reporting.
• Manage department resources, including human‑resource planning and budgeting, ensuring compliance with professional and departmental guidelines.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with extensive actuarial experience.
• Proven leadership ability to guide teams and oversee departmental resources.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and financial sustainability in insurance.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to business stakeholders.
