Senior Manager – Actuarial

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager – Actuarial to lead actuarial analysis, provide data‑driven insights, and support key business decisions. The role combines oversight of valuation and pricing functions with responsibility for regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Review and guide monthly insurance liability results, modelling updates, capital adequacy calculations, statutory reporting and budget projections.
• Validate valuation models, maintain model logs, and prioritize model issues for resolution.
• Prepare actuarial reports, advise on liability movements, dividend policy and financial reporting.
• Oversee pricing model updates, product development, profitability analyses, commissions analyses and large‑scale quotations.
• Establish processes to ensure accuracy of valuation and pricing outputs.
• Coordinate testing of illustration and administration system updates for new and amended products.
• Drive continuous improvement in reserving, valuation and pricing efficiency.
• Manage departmental resources, including human‑resource planning and budgeting.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level actuarial experience in life, health or pension insurance.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking with a forward‑looking mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex technical results to business stakeholders.
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.
