Senior Manager – Actuarial

About the role

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Manager – Actuarial to lead our actuarial function. The role will drive actuarial analysis, provide data‑driven insights, and support key business decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee valuation activities including monthly insurance liability results, capital adequacy calculations, statutory reporting, bond valuation and interest rate assumption derivation.
• Validate and maintain valuation models, manage model logs and prioritize issues for resolution.
• Lead pricing functions such as pricing model updates, product development, profitability analysis, commission analysis and large‑bulk quotations.
• Develop frameworks for product pricing, profitability metrics and reporting templates.
• Coordinate testing of illustration and administration system updates for new and amended products.
• Provide actuarial reports for financial reporting, shareholder and policyholder dividend policy, and advise on liability movements.
• Drive continuous improvement of reserving and valuation processes and ensure compliance with professional and departmental guidelines.
• Manage departmental resources, including human resource planning and budgeting.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level actuarial leadership with experience in life, health or pension insurance.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with executive teams and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, budgets and drive process improvements.
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.
