Senior Manager – Actuarial

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for a strategic Senior Manager – Actuarial to lead its actuarial function. You will shape pricing, product development, reinsurance and valuation strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly insurance liability results, capital adequacy calculations, statutory reporting and budget projections.
• Validate and improve valuation models, maintain model logs, and address model issues.
• Prepare actuarial reports for liability movements, shareholder and policyholder dividend policies, and financial reporting.
• Guide pricing model updates, product profitability analyses, commission studies and large‑scale quotations.
• Develop frameworks for product pricing, profitability metrics and KPI reporting.
• Coordinate testing of illustration and administration system updates for new and amended products.
• Lead the department’s resource planning, budgeting and compliance with professional guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven senior actuarial leadership experience in insurance or related financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to advise senior executives and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, budgets and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of actuarial valuation and pricing methodologies.
• Experience with capital adequacy assessment and statutory reporting.
• Ability to develop and validate actuarial models and frameworks.
