Senior Manager – Actuarial

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for a strategic Senior Manager – Actuarial to lead actuarial analysis, valuation and pricing functions. The role partners with senior leadership to shape product development, reinsurance strategy and financial sustainability while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly insurance liability results, capital adequacy calculations, statutory reporting and budget projections.
• Validate and maintain valuation models, monitor model issues, and produce actuarial reports for shareholders and policyholders.
• Develop and review pricing models, product profitability analyses, commission studies and large‑bulk quotations.
• Coordinate testing of illustration and administration system updates for new and amended products.
• Drive continuous improvement in reserving, valuation and pricing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage departmental resources, including human‑resource planning and budgeting.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in actuarial functions within life, health or pension insurance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic business decisions.
• In‑depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and professional actuarial standards.
• Excellent communication skills to advise executives, shareholders and external stakeholders.
• Track record of managing teams, budgets and cross‑functional projects.
