Senior Team Leader – IFRS Reconciliations

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for a results‑driven Senior Team Leader to oversee IFRS reconciliation activities across multiple business lines and legal entities. You will ensure financial accuracy, compliance with IFRS 17, and timely delivery of month‑end and year‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the clearing and closure of reconciliation items, including legacy balances, to achieve targeted resolution rates.
• Maintain and update the Reconciliation Matrix, tracking ownership, timelines, and remediation status.
• Ensure all reconciling items meet IFRS 17 requirements and monitor audit‑related action plans.
• Prepare monthly progress reports by the 15th, highlighting status, challenges, and balance movements.
• Document audit trails and support internal and external financial audits.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership to the reconciliation team, fostering a high‑performing environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance or accounting teams in a complex, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS 17.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audit findings and drive remediation.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a focus on accuracy.
