Senior Team Leader – IFRS Reconciliations

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Team Leader to own the IFRS reconciliation function. You will drive accurate, compliant financial reporting while leading a high‑performing team across multiple business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the clearing and closure of reconciliation items across multiple years, targeting an 80% resolution rate for aged items.
• Maintain and update the Reconciliation Matrix to track ownership, timelines, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure IFRS 17 compliance by reviewing reconciling items and implementing audit recommendations.
• Prepare documentation, audit trails, and control assessments for internal and external audits.
• Produce monthly progress reports by the 15th, highlighting status, challenges, and balance movements.
• Track reconciliation performance using count‑ and value‑based metrics aligned with finance KPIs.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coaching, and coordination for the reconciliation team.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in finance or accounting, preferably within insurance or pension environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS 17.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audit findings and ensure timely remediation.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
