Senior Team Leader – IFRS Reconciliations

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Team Leader to own the IFRS reconciliation process across multiple lines of business and legal entities. You will ensure financial accuracy, compliance with IFRS 17, and timely delivery of month‑end and year‑end reporting while leading a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise clearing and closure of reconciliation items across multiple years, targeting an 80% resolution rate for aged items.
• Maintain and update the Reconciliation Matrix to track ownership, timelines, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure all reconciling items meet IFRS 17 requirements and monitor audit‑related action plans.
• Prepare documentation, audit trails, and evidence for internal and external financial audits.
• Produce monthly progress reports by the 15th, highlighting status, challenges, and balance movements.
• Track reconciliation performance using count‑ and value‑based metrics aligned with Finance KPIs.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coaching, and coordination for the reconciliation team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IFRS reconciliation or similar finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and related accounting policies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audit findings and ensure compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a results‑driven mindset.
