Senior Team Leader – IFRS Reconciliations

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Team Leader to drive the IFRS reconciliation process across multiple lines of business. You will ensure financial accuracy, compliance with IFRS 17, and lead a high‑performing team to deliver timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the clearing and closure of reconciliation items across multiple years, targeting an 80% resolution rate for aged items.
• Maintain and update the Reconciliation Matrix to track ownership, timelines, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Review and address reconciling items in line with IFRS 17 recommendations and internal audit findings.
• Prepare documentation and audit trails for financial audits and control assessments.
• Produce monthly progress reports by the 15th, highlighting status, challenges, and balance movements.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision and coordination of the reconciliation team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading IFRS reconciliation teams.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and related accounting policies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audit recommendations and remediation plans.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on meeting reporting deadlines.
