Construction Estimator

About the role

The Estimator will work full‑time on‑site in Couva/Point Lisas, preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial building projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers and contractors to deliver cost‑effective solutions that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measure quantities, analyse material and labour requirements, and prepare detailed quotations and tender documents.
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to clarify scope and obtain up‑to‑date pricing.
• Update and maintain cost databases, track actual versus estimated costs, and generate budgeting reports.
• Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and supports a streamlined, customer‑oriented project delivery process.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in construction estimating and ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Relevant technical or vocational qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five subjects including Mathematics, English and Technical Drawing; a diploma in business is an asset.
• Prior experience in an estimating or quantity surveying role within building or construction is preferred.
