Cost Estimator / Senior Cost Estimator – Energy Projects (Trinidad & Tobago)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Cost Estimators and Senior Cost Estimators to support an active tender opportunity in Trinidad & Tobago’s energy sector. The successful candidates will develop robust cost estimates for projects, turnarounds and campaigns, helping to guide planning, funding decisions and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, turnarounds and campaigns across front‑end, definition and execution phases.
• Prepare benchmarking estimates and evaluate cost alternatives to support decision‑making.
• Support forecasting of project funding requirements and maintain cost‑estimating data, assumptions and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction and Finance teams.
• Provide cost information and analysis to aid project decisions and continuous improvement of estimating methodologies.

Required profile

• First degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Mathematics or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cost estimating, with at least 3–5 years in the energy sector.
• Proven experience delivering cost‑estimating activities for projects exceeding US$10 million.
• Working knowledge of construction, fabrication, finance, procurement and supply‑chain processes.
• Professional membership or certification with a recognized cost‑estimating body is an asset.
