Facility Specialist

About the role

The Facility Specialist ensures the safe, cost‑effective operation of assigned facilities by performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical and other installed systems. The role supports the Facility Manager in budgeting, contractor selection, and compliance while driving continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, HVAC, fire protection, generator, UPS and mechanical equipment.
• Supervise the Facility Management (FM) team and coordinate maintenance activities across departments.
• Assist in preparing budget estimates, cost‑tracking reports and contract scopes.
• Work with Procurement, Legal and external contractors to draft, negotiate and administer service agreements.
• Implement quality‑control programs and LEAN initiatives to standardise facility performance.
• Support FM projects, CAPEX improvements and property‑management activities.
• Conduct site audits to ensure cleanliness, safety and compliance with standards.

Required profile

• Associated degree, technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Building Services Engineering or Civil/Construction Management.
• 1‑3 years of experience in facility maintenance, industrial operations, oil & gas facilities or building services.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
