Accounting Assistant – Payables

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Payables Clerk in Arima. The successful candidate will support the Accountant with responsibility for accounts payable transactions and inventory‑related receipts, and will work closely with the Purchasing and Production Accounting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and updating foreign accounts payable transactions
• Posting and applying payments to foreign suppliers
• Reconciling foreign supplier statements
• Reconciling accounts payable sub‑ledgers to the general ledger
• Updating raw material and factory spares inventory receipts
• Preparing monthly landed‑cost reports for raw materials
• Assisting with local accounts payable and inventory postings
• Assisting with GL reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate Finance Department records and filing
• Providing general support within the Finance Department

Required profile

• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant accounts payable/accounting experience
• Hold or be pursuing ACCA Level II or an equivalent accounting qualification
• Previous experience working with Microsoft Great Plains / Dynamics GP
• Experience handling foreign supplier accounts and reconciliations
• Strong computer literacy skills
• Accurate, organised and comfortable working with numbers and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
