Finance Associate (G6) – Caribbean Multi-Country Office

About the role

The Finance Associate supports the Finance Officer in delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial services across UNICEF’s Caribbean Multi‑Country Office. Working from one of the designated duty stations, the role contributes to the efficient management of resources that enable programme implementation for children in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, reconciliations, treasury activities and ensure compliance with UNICEF financial policies.
• Monitor, report and perform quality assurance on financial operations, exercising sound judgment on complex matters.
• Promote standardized business processes, identify service delivery improvements and support continuous process enhancements.
• Collaborate with programme and operations colleagues across multiple duty stations to manage financial resources responsibly and mitigate risks.
• Contribute to the Operations Management working group, ensuring finance services effectively support programme results.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of clerical experience in finance and accounting.
• Completion of secondary education; professional or university courses in the field are highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or local language is a plus.
• Eligibility to work in the duty station and, if applicable, a valid CARICOM Skills Certificate.
