Payroll Consultant – Caribbean

About the role

The Payroll Consultant provides specialized payroll operations support across RBC Caribbean regions, acting as a subject‑matter expert in payroll processing. The role works closely with the Manager Payroll to ensure accurate, timely payroll execution and compliance with Caribbean legislation and RBC policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute payroll processing activities and coordinate timely salary payments via HR/Payroll systems across Caribbean jurisdictions.
• Ensure accurate calculation and submission of payments to tax, state insurance authorities and other government agencies.
• Perform multi‑country payroll reconciliation, including internal suspense accounts and General Ledger allocations.
• Prepare posting sheets for payroll reconciliation and GL cost allocation across countries, companies and units.
• Manage billing and reconciliation of expatriate staff expenses and payroll.
• Complete specialized payroll calculations such as vacation indemnity, commission advances and final‑pay simulations.
• Maintain payroll operations controls, report incidents and handle incoming payroll requests via ServiceNow workflow.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of payroll operations experience, including 5+ years of multi‑country or Caribbean payroll processing.
• Degree in HR Management, Payroll Administration or Business Administration.
• In‑depth knowledge of Caribbean tax laws, regulations and state insurance requirements.
• Understanding of international tax treaties and expatriate payroll considerations.
