Tax Manager – General Tax (Trinidad)

About the role

Deloitte Trinidad is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of key clients and deliver high‑quality tax services across the engagement cycle. You will stay current with tax legislation, leverage emerging technologies, and contribute to Deloitte’s inclusive and innovative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements and develop tailored tax strategies for business, international, and indirect tax matters.
• Manage preparation and filing of compliance returns, supporting mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.
• Provide business process solutions and general tax consulting to clients.
• Train and coach team members on tax tools, new technologies and regulatory updates.
• Participate in Deloitte’s DE&I, sustainability and well‑being initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Professional designation such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, JD, LLM, Masters of Taxation or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax, tax accounting, legal tax services or financial control.
• Proven engagement management experience, including leading engagements and reviewing junior work.
• Strong written communication skills demonstrated through reports, memoranda and client presentations.
