Accounting Assistant – Reconciliation Temp

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support our reconciliation team. In this temporary position you will help resolve low‑risk reconciliation items, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with cash‑management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, clear and close reconciliation items across multiple years, aiming for an 80% resolution rate for aged items.
• Process low‑risk reconciliations and update outstanding balances for staff and agents within defined turnaround times.
• Prepare indebtedness statements and assist the bank team with cash‑management reports, ensuring daily updates are sent for review by 10 am.
• Monitor and respond to mailbox communications for the OR Team and Bank Reconciliations Team within 24‑72 hours.
• Manage end‑to‑end assigned projects, conducting deep‑dive analyses of transaction categories and reporting findings to the project lead.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 CXC/CSEC passes, including Mathematics and English Language.
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
• Ability to work methodically, manage time efficiently, and interact with staff at all levels.
• Certificate of Character as required by Know Your Employee regulations.
