Group Pensions Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused Group Pensions Coordinator to support the administration of our group pension plans. You will ensure accurate processing of contributions, member records, and benefit transactions while providing timely support to both external clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pension calculations for retirements, refunds, withdrawals and deaths.
• Generate cheque requests and journal entries for benefit payments.
• Produce internal and external valuation reports, Board papers and Trustee reports.
• Enter contribution data accurately and promptly in the TOPAS pension administration system.
• Maintain up‑to‑date membership details for monthly reporting and file correspondence.
• Prepare annual benefit statements and respond to client queries courteously.
• Stay current with statutory and regulatory frameworks governing pension plans.
• Assist with pension plan wind‑ups and provide updates as required.
• Train staff on departmental processes and perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pension administration environment.
• 5 CXC/CSEC passes including Mathematics and English.
• 2 A‑Level/CAPE passes including Mathematics.
• LOMA 280, 290 and ACS 100 certifications (or equivalent).
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Certificate of Character as required by Know Your Employee guidelines.
• Patient, tactful, diplomatic, approachable and friendly disposition.
