Junior Accountant

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations, reconciliations and financial reporting. This role offers the chance to develop a solid foundation in regulatory, tax and compliance reporting within a dynamic financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, reporting templates and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to local authorities across multiple Caribbean territories.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Assist with corporate income tax filings, tax reconciliations and data gathering for tax provisions.
• Help monitor internal financial controls and compile data for compliance reporting such as SOX, FATCA, CRS or local equivalents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external advisors to meet compliance requirements.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 2 or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Certificate of Character as required by Know Your Employee guidelines.
• Strong time‑management, organizational and reporting abilities, with the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
• High integrity, professionalism and clear communication skills.
