Point of Sale Agent

About the role

The Point of Sale Agent will drive shipment and revenue growth for DHL Express in Trinidad by processing payments, handling shipments, and promoting additional services. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to engage customers and deliver accurate information on customs, transit times, and pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Accept and register payments for all DHL services and perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Process outbound shipments, inspect each package, and ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards.
• Provide accurate information on customs requirements, transit times, and pricing while upselling value‑added services such as insurance and time‑definite delivery.
• Identify business opportunities within a 3 km radius, generate sales leads, and achieve daily KPIs.
• Maintain the POS area, supervise support staff, and ensure security, order, and cleanliness.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sales, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in sales, retail counter management, and shipping & logistics.
• Ability to work independently and supervise support staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional appearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point of sale systems.
• Computer literacy.
