Refrigeration Technician

About the role

Arawak and Company Limited is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Technician to join its Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring reliable operation in food‑manufacturing and cold‑storage environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical controls and refrigeration circuits.
• Service ammonia‑based and Freon‑based refrigeration systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Support emergency breakdowns to minimise production downtime.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three CSEC passes, including English and Mathematics.
• At least two years of experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
• Experience in food manufacturing, poultry processing, or cold‑storage is an advantage.
