Relief Van Sales Assistant (Driver)

About the role

A.S. Bryden is looking for a relief van sales assistant (driver) to support the distribution and promotion of its products through the Van Distribution network. The role involves driving the company vehicle, loading and unloading it, and assisting with daily merchandising at customers across Trinidad.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload the company vehicle and prepare it for stock taking by stock auditors when required
• Drive the company vehicle on the assigned route
• Merchandise company products daily at various customers
• Place and replace all pop material and clean all company displays and products in store
• Keep products in good condition and secure them at all times
• Maintain the stock and keep the vehicle tidy and properly maintained
• Handle assigned stock and conduct relief sales only when requested

Required profile

• Minimum of three CXC passes including Mathematics and English Language
• At least two years of heavy truck driving experience
• One year of similar experience is an asset; knowledge of auto mechanics is also an asset
• Well-groomed, reliable, honest and a team player with good communication skills
