Sales Executive - Distribution

About the role

A seasoned sales executive is sought to sell products and services and meet sales targets across the east, central and southern parts of Trinidad. The position is based in Port of Spain or as far as Chaguanas, with office check-ins of 2-3 times per week for at least half a day. Working hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Sell products and services and meet sales targets
• Find new customers and build strong relationships
• Conduct market research and identify business opportunities
• Negotiate prices and deals
• Maintain accurate sales records and prepare reports
• Follow up with clients and respond to emails, quotes and proformas
• Handle tenders and registration processes for customers
• Make 6-8 client visits per day and report weekly calls and visits to the Sales Manager
• Stay current on industry trends to spot product improvements and new opportunities
• Enforce organizational standards to maintain quality service and contribute to team efforts

Required profile

• 3-5 years of on-the-road sales experience; distribution industry experience is an asset
• Valid driver's license and active driver; must pass drug testing
• Able-bodied and able to lift 50 lbs
• Can live in Port of Spain or as far as Chaguanas
• One week of in-house training provided

What we offer

• Base salary of $5,000
• Tiered commission: 3% on the first $100,000 earned after the initial $25,000, then 4%
