Senior Team Leader – IFRS Reconciliations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Team Leader to head the IFRS reconciliation function at Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited. The role combines technical oversight of IFRS‑17 reconciliations with day‑to‑day supervision of a high‑performing finance team, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the clearing and closure of reconciliation items across multiple years, targeting an 80 % resolution rate for aged items.
• Maintain and update the Reconciliation Matrix, tracking ownership, timelines and monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure IFRS 17 compliance by reviewing reconciling items and implementing audit recommendations.
• Prepare documentation and audit trails for financial audits and internal control assessments.
• Produce monthly progress reports by the 15th, highlighting status, challenges and balance movements.
• Lead, coach and coordinate the reconciliation team, driving timely delivery of month‑end and year‑end close cycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IFRS reconciliation, preferably with IFRS 17 exposure.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Results‑driven mindset with a focus on financial accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to monitor and resolve audit findings within set deadlines.
