Tax Manager – General Tax (Trinidad)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of key clients in Trinidad. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality tax services across the full engagement cycle while staying current with evolving tax regulations and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements and manage client relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Develop and implement tax strategies for business tax, international tax, M&A, transaction support, indirect tax and general compliance.
• Oversee preparation of compliance filings and coordinate business process solutions.
• Train and mentor team members on tax tools, new technologies, and regulatory updates.
• Promote Deloitte’s DE&I, sustainability and well‑being initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Professional designation such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, JD, LLM, Masters of Taxation or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax, tax accounting, legal tax services or financial control.
• Proven engagement management experience, including leading engagements and reviewing junior work.
• Strong written communication skills demonstrated through memorandum/report writing and client presentations.
