About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator System seeks a Graphic Designer to produce two publication‑ready strategic documents: the Multi‑Country Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (MCSDCF) and the Trinidad and Tobago 2025 Common Country Analysis (CCA). The contractor will work remotely from Trinidad and Tobago for a two‑month period, delivering professionally typeset reports that align with UN branding and SDG visual standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and layout the MCSDCF and CCA reports, converting draft texts into polished publications.
  • Develop a distinct visual identity for each document, adhering to UN branding, UNSDG visual identity, and SDG colour palette.
  • Create front and back covers, title pages, tables of contents, chapter dividers, and reference sections.
  • Establish consistent typography, colour schemes, heading styles, callout boxes, pull quotes, footnotes, captions, and page numbering.
  • Redesign existing figures, charts, graphs, tables, maps, and conceptual diagrams to professional standards.
  • Produce original infographics, data visualisations, and illustrations to enhance key messages.
  • Source, edit, and integrate high‑quality photographs, ensuring proper licensing and cultural sensitivity.
  • Process images for both screen and print, including colour correction and resolution optimisation.
  • Format references, footnotes, citations, and bibliographies uniformly.
  • Prepare interactive, accessible PDFs with bookmarks, hyperlinks, and clickable tables of contents for digital distribution.

Required profile

  • Ability to work under the supervision of the UN Resident Coordinator and the Development Coordination Officer.
  • Proven experience in graphic design and desktop publishing for formal reports.
  • Familiarity with UN branding guidelines and SDG visual standards.
