Merchant Services Officer – Fulfillment & Setup

About the role

Scotiabank is looking for a Merchant Services Officer – Fulfillment & Setup to join its Business Service Centre in Chaguanas. The role supports merchant onboarding, annual reviews and technical support for Visa and MasterCard services, ensuring compliance and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and vet merchant onboarding and annual review documentation.
• Set up new merchants and maintain accurate records in CLAS.
• Process daily FDMS reports and manage VISA/MasterCard EDC correspondence.
• Provide technical and customer support for merchant inquiries, troubleshooting hardware, software and telecommunications issues.
• Assist sales and solutions teams with profitability analysis and feedback on product satisfaction.
• Ensure security procedures and documentation for terminals and computers are strictly followed.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑focused attitude with ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within regulatory and internal policy frameworks.
• Effective communication skills for handling calls and resolving issues.

Required skills

• Experience with Visa and MasterCard merchant services platforms.
• Familiarity with FDMS and CLAS systems.
• Knowledge of electronic data capture (EDC) processes.
