Cost & Time Assistant

About the role

The Cost & Time Assistant will support the project team by managing timesheets, cost data, and related documentation for oil and gas projects. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, invoicing, and cost tracking while contributing to process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Input and verify timesheets for all crew members, supporting payroll and invoicing.
• Conduct variance analysis and validate timekeeping data each pay period.
• Assist with project costing, timesheet management, and recommend improvements to tracking processes.
• Maintain manual filing systems for timesheets and GRNs, and liaise with suppliers on invoices and documentation.
• Use MAXIMO to generate purchase requisitions and monitor purchase order status.
• Coordinate information flow across departments and resolve time entry or GRN issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• At least two years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in oil & gas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid Certificate of Good Character (issued within the last six months).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Mpower software.
• Experience with MAXIMO system for purchase requisitions and order tracking.
