Marketing & Communication Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a creative and detail‑oriented Marketing & Communication Assistant to support the Head of Group Marketing and Communication. The role involves providing administrative support and assisting with branding, media, and stakeholder engagement initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and distribute mail, schedule meetings, workshops and prepare minutes as required.
• Maintain filing systems (hard copy and electronic) for clippings, photographs, videos, audiotapes, artwork and department databases.
• Coordinate payment processing, input Oracle entries, and track expenses in departmental databases.
• Manage call‑card requests, prepare various reports (expense, charitable foundation, content calendar) and update media lists.
• Assist in planning and executing events, preparing donation and sponsorship correspondence.
• Maintain web content, execute social‑media tactics and liaise with agencies for back‑end edits.
• Coordinate promotional and branding inventory and provide administrative support to branding programmes.

Required profile

• Engaging, trustworthy and well‑organized personality with strong initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and become fully involved in marketing projects.
• At least one year of experience in a marketing or communications environment.
• Educational background: 5 CXC/CSEC passes (including Mathematics and English), 2 A‑Levels/CAPE, and a certificate in Marketing, Communication or Branding.

Required skills

• Good understanding of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
• Experience using Oracle for payment entries and expense tracking.
